Description
With the RIPSTICK 116 from ELAN, experience the ultimate in freeriding . With its all-around size, this ski ensures smooth gliding in all snow conditions.
Its 116 mm skid width is wide enough to float in powder and carve curves above the snow front. Thanks to the Amphibio profile, it has exceptional maneuverability and grip. The SST Sidewall system ensures direct power transfer and the TNT technology ensures dynamic power. This model also features Carbon Rods construction, which adds structural carbon tubing for lightness and a powerful boost. Fiberglass reinforcements are also added to optimize the flex pattern and increase the torsional stiffness of the ski.
Engage in freeride in the morning and finish your day by racing down the slopes at full speed.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS :
Construction :
- The Amphibio Carbon Line technology is a combination of innovations that provide the best balance between lightness and performance. It takes asymmetrical ski design to the next dimension by strategically positioning carbon reinforcements above the inner edges of the skis for more power in turns, while carbon tubes in the wood core maximize both weight reduction and stability.
- The Amphibio profile is a revolutionary ski design that integrates rocker and camber into a left and right ski. The Amphibio provides a ski with inner edge camber for precision, grip and stability, while the outer rocker allows for easy turning and greater forgiveness
- STT Sidewall construction provides fast transmission of the ski to the snow while providing great torsional stiffness
- To create the Tubelite Wood Core, two very light carbon tubes were inserted into the wood laminate core. Measuring 5mm in diameter, these tubes run the length of the ski along the edge arc. This provides more torsional stability and more rebound power by reducing the core materials. The result is an incredibly light and stable ski
- Carbon reinforcement provides extra support where it’s needed
- Vapor Tip inserts are built into the tip and tail of the ski core. They reduce weight and vibration and increase stability for a ski that is agile even in the most demanding conditions
- Carbon structural tubes that ensure lightness and powerful recovery
- The fiberglass reinforcement optimizes the flex and increases the torsional rigidity of the ski. The fiber is placed under and over the ski core and increases the ski’s stiffness
